Explore Terrace Espresso Cafe

Tucked away in the heart of Milton, Terrace Espresso Cafe is one of those places that quickly becomes a regular go-to once you discover it. The café strikes a balance between laid-back comfort and standout quality, making it equally suited for a casual coffee stop or a satisfying meal. From the moment you step in, there’s a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that feels effortless rather than staged, helped along by a team that’s consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly.

One of the highlights here is the coffee, which is reliably excellent-rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to wonder if your cup will be good; it just always is. But what really sets Terrace Espresso Cafe apart is its food offering, particularly its Peruvian dishes, which bring something unique to the local dining scene. The menu features comforting, flavor-packed options like aji de gallina, a creamy and mildly spiced shredded chicken dish, and lomo saltado paired with arroz chaufa, combining stir-fried beef with fragrant rice in a way that’s both hearty and memorable.

There’s an authenticity to the food that resonates even with those familiar with Peruvian cuisine, while still being approachable for first-timers looking to try something new. The kitchen seems to carry a distinct personality, with dishes that feel both thoughtfully prepared and full of character. Combined with the easygoing vibe and consistently kind service, the café creates a space where people linger a little longer than planned, whether catching up with friends or simply enjoying a quiet moment with great coffee and comforting food.

Such a great little find in Brisbane. From the moment you step in, the vibe is warm and welcoming, making it an easy choice for a relaxed catch-up or a casual meal. The Peruvian influence on the menu is a refreshing change from the usual café options, and the food feels thoughtfully prepared and satisfying without being overdone. What really sets the place apart, though, is Hector, the owner. He’s often around, genuinely friendly, and clearly takes pride in both the food and the atmosphere he’s created. That personal touch makes the place feel more like a neighbourhood favourite than just another café. It can get a little lively during busy periods, but that energy just adds to the charm. A spot that’s easy to enjoy and even easier to recommend.

Oh well, what better way to start a day with great people and awesome food. The team here are just absolutely the best. And very honest. Food is great and awesome coffee. All for just $ 11.50 (Jan/2025). I tried the breakfast wrap which comes with egg, bacon and a hash brown.

If you are looking for authentic ceviche, this is the place! Fresh, very well balanced and perfectly seasoned. The portion is the right size for most people to share, but I prefer to have one just for myself - with no leche de tigre left behind. We enjoyed the other dishes, like the pollo con arroz chaufa and the tamales: I would recommend those to anyone looking for some homemade flavor. Did I mention the ceviche is fantastic?

We love Hector and his wife. I brought my partner to try some Peruvian Food and he absolutely loved it. We had the papa rellena, chicken saltado and the bread with chicharrón ... Yummy! The fresh maracuyá juices are so beautiful. If you are looking for good food in general and you want to try some Peruvian food definitely have to visit Terrace Cafe, you won't be disappointed.
